Who we are
Even Grounds (evengrounds.com) is the website of accessibility consultant Tom Babinszki, based in North Olmsted, Ohio, United States. If you have questions about this policy or about your personal data, you can reach us at https://evengrounds.com/contact/.
What information we collect
We collect personal information only in a few specific situations:
- Comments. If you leave a comment on the site, we collect your name, email address, and website (if you provide one), along with your IP address and browser information, which we use to detect spam.
- Contact form. If you write to us through the contact form, we keep your name, email address, and the contents of your message so we can respond to you.
- Newsletter. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we keep your email address (and your first name, if you provide it) in order to send you updates. Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use the site. This collects aggregated information such as which pages are visited, how long visitors stay, approximate geographic location, and device and browser type. It does not identify you personally.
- Online store. Purchases are handled through our separate online store, which operates under its own privacy policy.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies:
- If you leave a comment, you may choose to save your name, email address, and website in cookies so you do not have to retype them next time.
- Analytics cookies help us measure site traffic and understand which content is useful.
- Embedded content, such as videos, may set its own cookies (see below).
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though conveniences such as remembering your comment details will not.
Embedded content from other websites
Some pages include embedded content, for example videos. Embedded content behaves as if you had visited the other website directly: it may collect data about you, use cookies, and track your interaction with the embedded content.
Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as needed to operate the site:
- Spam detection services may process information submitted with comments.
- Google processes analytics data according to its own privacy policy.
- Our newsletter service provider stores subscriber email addresses in order to deliver the newsletter.
We will also disclose information if required to do so by law.
How long we keep your information
We keep contact form messages and newsletter subscriptions until you ask us to delete them. Comment data is retained so we can recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically. Analytics data is kept in aggregated form.

Children’s privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
