Our approach
Even Grounds is the website of an accessibility consultant, and we hold this site to the same accessibility standards we recommend to our clients. We design and maintain evengrounds.com to be usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, voice control, and other assistive technologies.
Standards
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the internationally recognized benchmark for web accessibility.
What we do
- We use semantic HTML so assistive technologies can correctly interpret page structure.
- Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard alone.
- Images that convey information include text alternatives.
- We aim for color contrast that meets WCAG AA requirements, and we never rely on color alone to convey information.
- New designs are reviewed for accessibility before they go live.
Known limitations
Some embedded third-party content, such as videos hosted on other platforms, is outside our direct control and may not be fully accessible. If you encounter a barrier in embedded content, please contact us and we will provide the information another way.
