“I met Tom through a recommendation of a museum colleague who characterized him as incredibly knowledgeable with accessibility on many levels, with flexibility to work with a wide variety of organizations. In my experience working with him, he is that and more — he has unwavering patience in working with the obstacles of a non profit organization and creative solutions to barriers.
Tom was my primary consultant in my exhibition Digital Reimaginings: Printing Towards Accessibility. This exhibition questions how art museums can become more inclusive through centering accessibility through tactile means, primarily 3D printing. Of highest importance was to design this exhibition with a focus group of blind and low vision participants, holding true the “nothing about us, without us” model in disability justice. Tom is well connected and respected in disability groups from NE Ohio and beyond (someone connected with me through Tom from Tanzania!) and with Tom’s invitation, we had a well filled focus group.
I have been amazed by Tom’s dedication and generosity. Throughout the process, he was proactive in identifying any opportunity that would benefit both myself and my institution, including identifying partnerships and presentation opportunities. Following the opening of the exhibition, Tom was hired to facilitate a workshop for all museum staff and volunteers on accessibility awareness, giving two hour long presentations tailored to the different needs of our volunteer staff versus employees with specific notes on how we can implement best practices into our daily work.
Tom’s commitment to fostering a welcoming environment for individuals of all abilities was truly commendable. By recognizing the unique needs of this community, he paved the way for meaningful engagement with art and culture. His ability to foster open dialogue and cultivate a space where diverse voices could be heard exemplifies his exceptional leadership qualities. Beyond this, his knowledge of accessibility from legal and historical standpoint, working from the social model of disability, and his patient and thorough teaching methods made him a joy to work with.”

“We reached out to Tom as we needed help with a question regarding tactile copies for our upcoming exhibition. Tom was very professional and accommodating, with valuable knowledge. I quickly noticed that he is someone I would gladly ask all sorts of questions to improve our upcoming exhibition. Tom has valuable expertise in both the objects themselves, how to place them in a learning context, and making them accessible for everyone to grasp. We received help with questions about accessibility for our upcoming exhibition, content and also received feedback on the scripts we wrote for audio tracks for tactile objects. That was really valuable for us. It is our hope to continue collaborating with Tom in the future!”

“As a UX designer, working with Tom on accessibility has been a real game-changer for me. When I was preparing a speech for a UX accessibility conference, I felt completely overwhelmed. Tom stepped in and helped me structure my thoughts, providing invaluable guidance and support. His ability to genuinely listen and offer insightful solutions made all the difference. Thanks to him, I delivered a confident and well-organized presentation. On top of that, his insights have also transformed how I approach designing our app to be more inclusive for people with disabilities. If you’re serious about accessibility in your design, you need Tom on your team.”

“Evengrounds is a great partner of Zimbra. Our goal is to constantly improve the accessibility of our products and we need a partner that can give us guidance and who can help us prioritize our changes. I would recommend Evengrounds for anyone needing help in improving accessibility of their web application.”
John Robb, VP of Marketing and Products, Zimbra (a Yahoo! company)
The thing I got most out of the sessions was a perspective on what people with disabilities had to deal with regarding the internet. I had actually never given it any thought before this; it sounds self-centered doesn’t it? But having this perspective/knowledge will definitely be an asset when it comes to testing and I’ll definitely be passing this on to the testers.
I know that the team walked away from training with confidence and a clearer idea of what was involved. Tom was able to give us a broader view of what it means for someone with disabilities to require a site to be accessible. Another point he used was that we are to use our common sense.

High integrity accessibility consultant
I have worked with Mr Babinszki on more than one occasion, when I used his expertise regarding accessibility consulting with web development projects. I found that his knowledge and dedication on the subject is prominent and unsurpassed. He is very easy to work with and always delivers on time. His solutions were simple, logical and easy to implement. Several times he suggested changes that actually were not required within that particular project, but with no exception made the final product far superior.
I will use his services in the future and would recommend his expertise and experience to anybody who needs a reliable and
confident accessibility consultant with high integrity.
